Bollard Lifts

Bollard Lifts Installation in Nigeria

Automatic rising bollards and fixed barriers that stop unauthorised vehicles while letting approved traffic through smoothly.

Automatic rising bollards in front of a gate barrier, stopping a car, operated from a control post Rising
Overview

Gates and boom barriers control traffic, but they offer little protection against a vehicle that is driven at them deliberately. Our bollard lifts installation in Nigeria service provides a stronger physical barrier for entrances, car parks and building frontages.

We supply and install automatic rising bollards in hydraulic and electro-mechanical versions, as well as fixed and removable bollards. For high-risk locations such as banks, embassies, oil and gas facilities and government buildings, anti-ram and crash-rated models are available. Each project includes groundworks, drainage, power and controls, so the bollards operate reliably in all weather.

Rising bollards can be operated by push button, remote control, RFID card or number plate recognition, and integrated with our access control systems and CCTV to create a complete vehicle entry point. Safety features such as traffic lights, warning beacons and vehicle detection loops help prevent accidental contact, and we offer planned maintenance so seals, hydraulics and controls continue to perform as intended for years after installation.

FAQ

Bollard Lifts questions

Hydraulic bollards use a pump and fluid to raise the post and are suited to frequent use and heavier models. Electro-mechanical bollards use an electric motor and gearing, and need no hydraulic fluid, which can simplify maintenance. Both are reliable when properly installed. We recommend a type based on traffic volume, security needs and site conditions.

Crash-rated bollards are tested to stop a vehicle of a given weight at a given speed, and are used where there is a risk of deliberate vehicle attack, such as banks, embassies and critical infrastructure. For estates and car parks, standard automatic bollards are often enough. We assess the approach roads and risk during the survey before recommending a rating.

We can fit backup power so bollards continue to operate during outages, and every system includes a manual method to lower the bollards in an emergency. The default position when power fails can be set to suit the site, either up for security or down to allow emergency vehicles through.

The timeline depends on the number of bollards, ground conditions, drainage and the civil works required. Fixed bollards can often be installed quickly, while automatic bollards need excavation, foundations, ducting and commissioning. After the site survey we provide a programme of work so you can plan traffic arrangements.
